Why is Spain 50-70% more affordable than United States (US)?
Fertility treatments in Spain are about 50-70% more affordable than the US/UK.

Why? Because:
1. Government regulation and price control: ensure that clinics are monitored to prevent excessive price inflation.

2. High volume and specialization: Spain is a global hub for fertility treatments, performing the highest number of procedures in the EU annually. This allows clinics to benefit from economies of scale, reducing the cost per patient. The high from both domestic and European patients ensures steady revenues, allowing for more affordable pricing structures.

3. Lower cost of medical education: Doctors and specialists in Spain don't accumulate large amounts of student debt, as medical education heavily subsidized. Lower financial burdens on medical professionals can translate into lower patient costs

4. Competitive market among clinics: Spain has a large number of fertility clinics competing for, particularly within the EU. This competitiveness encourages clinics to keep prices reasonable while maintaining high-quality standards.​

5. Lower operational and medication costs: Labor are lower, and medication costs, such as hormone injections, are low due to government price regulations.

6. Public health and subsidies: keep prices low, as locals have access to free orized treatments; private clinics have to keep prices competitive.

*WHY IS THE US PRICE RANGE SO WIDE?
Easy, lack of transparency. We have asked for pricing to clinics and friends that have done it in CA, US and the price for a same treatment changes (even when coming form the same clinic). We still don't understand why.
Prices are orientative
IVF treatments:
People travel to Spain for IVF with own eggs or donor eggs because of the high success rates.
Egg donnors are abundant and there is no waiting list. Donors are anonymous (very little info about the donor is released) and screen physically and phychologically. Matches are done based on the physical appearance of the egg receptor. ​
